English-language meditation & contemplation events in Prague
A free, community-based guide to in-person and online meditation events and resources for local expats and English-speakers
Who We Are
Prague Meditation Circle is a non-commercial, non-sectarian community resource for meditation and contemplative events that are English-friendly and free or donation-based (no fixed ticket prices, no one turned away due to finances).
We draw from a broad range of traditions — Buddhist, Christian, Yogic, Hindu, Sufi, secular/scientific, etc. — and warmly welcome people of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+. 🏳️🌈
What's Here
Here on the site you'll find weekly in-person sits and monthly hikes in nature, and a curated guide to online practice — live Zoom sessions from around the world, plus free apps, audio teachings, and university courses.
Where to Find Us
Our living hub is our WhatsApp community. That's where events get shared, plans get hatched, and the local circle stays connected.
Prefer to just follow along? We post events to Instagram too — no group to join.
How This Began
PMC was created by me – Scott – a local American parent, proofreader, university lecturer, and meditator who has called Prague home for nearly a decade.
This project wouldn't be possible, though, without the care and support of a widening circle of helpers, especially our Eagle-in-the-Nest-certified Qigong master Martin Rybáček; our hiking aficionados Tomaž and Honza; and our community connector / ordained member of the Order of Interbeing, Nick Neild. Their generosity, encouragement, and quiet behind-the-scenes support have helped shape this into something real.
